I have been involved in adding a climbing wall to school gymnasiums twice. The first in 2001 in Petersburg, Alaska. We achieved that with just $3,000 worth of materials and one very dedicated volunteer.
The second climbing wall, was built in Chennai, India in 2018. For the planning, we worked with Project Adventure and then contracted with a builder in Bangalore for the construction.
A trainer from the Professional Climbing Instructors Association came and certified staff as PCIA Climbing Wall Instructor Assistants.
